On Thursday 20th February 2020 the Annual General Meeting of Brighton & Hove Faith in Action took place prior to the Faith Council at the Salvation Army, Brighton.
Fr Jerome as Acting Chair opened the meeting with words of welcome and received notice of those who had sent apologies. Then were the Minutes of the previous AGM read and voted upon as an accurate account and then signed by the Chair.
All Trustees were present. According to the Constitution, the following Trustees were required to be re-elected to the board, Sabri Ben Ameur, Fiona Sharpe and Mahmut Gunyadin. Mahmut did not stand for re-election as his role with The Dialogue Society is moving him to Oxford, but both Sabri and Fiona were duly re-elected to the board.
Then followed the election of Officers. The following were elected unanimously by the meeting; Msgr Jerome Lloyd elected Chair; Simon Lewis re-elected Vice Chair and Rik Child elected Treasurer. There were no nominations for Secretary and so the board will appoint at its next meeting.
Reports followed. Previously circulated the Treasurer’s Report with the status of Accounts as at the end of the financial period (2018-2019) was presented and then the current position explained. The Chair’s Report distributed prior to the meeting was received formally and accepted. The Meeting unanimously accepted the Reports and the Chair signed them.
At the invitation “Any Other Business” none was brought to the Meeting and after a vote of thanks for Mahmut’s time as a trustee, the Chair closed the Meeting.
